I bought a really cool swag lamp for my room from this guy who ended up showing me how to glass blow. For my first time it was successful in the fact I created something, but it was not easy to pick up….the physics of melted glass is so interesting! I tried to make a cherry, you see how that turned out HAHA

I spent the day driving around town with my mom, picking up trash and visiting different locations where I could video some of the helpers around town who were working hard to make the community better! Love Yucaipa & Calimesa / Volunteer day. I only hit a few of the many stops, the cool thing is,,,the video doesn’t reflect all the awesome people who were apart of this day, just a small few, but I and the community thank you for all your hard work, whatever it may have looked like! Picking up trash, helping with landscaping, repainting, repurposing, supporting, guiding, helping and so much more. Love to see all the people show up for Yucaipa and Calimesa and connect with their Earth. Remember, there is no us without Earth! We must look out for her like a friend. Keep on showing up for your community. Shout out to all who were involved in setting up Love Yucaipa & Calimesa, as well as Mrs.Santos and Mr.Rekstad from Valley Elementary for creating a wonderful festival for people to connect with their Earth.

I spent the day at my omi’s and we sewed! This fabric style is called “batik”. Batik is a traditional wax-resist dyeing technique used to create intricate patterns on fabric, where hot wax is applied to cloth to block dye from certain areas, revealing the design after the wax is removed, often with crackled effects; it’s a culturally significant art form from Indonesia. I made the swirly design by myself, and honestly it was addicting. Took quite a few hours to complete but was great to get away from paper and make something out of fabric.

The last few days I have spent about…6/7 (lol) hours painting this flower painting to go in our new flower room. Mom and Jake both are painting their own flower creation too, it was a nice bonding time for all of us to create together! Here is mine~
